Amanda Macht, D.P.T

Owner

Dr. Amanda began Harbor Physical Therapy in July 2006. She received a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at University of Maryland, Baltimore and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiological Sciences from University of Maryland, College Park. Dr. Amanda specializes in treating soft tissue, overuse, post-operative, and sport injuries. Dr. Amanda believes the key to a successful physical therapy outcome is a patient centered approach. Dr. Amanda takes the time to get to know you and your injury to achieve the maximum treatment outcome. Dr. Amanda truly enjoys working with people, which creates a fun enjoyable atmosphere for physical therapy. Not only will you see results, you will have fun!

Christopher Kunkel, D.P.T.

Lead Physical Therapist

Born and raised in Maryland, Dr. Chris received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy at University of Maryland Eastern Shore and his Bachelor of Science at James Madison University. He has experience in multiple settings including outpatient orthopedics, acute hospital care, and surgicenter ambulatory services. He believes successful physical therapy is a mutual approach between patient and care provider, with a focus on pain-free movement.

Dr. Chris has taken advanced manual therapy courses for the spine and post-graduate orthopedic courses for the hip and knee. He specializes in neck pain, low back pain, hip/knee injuries, and post operative rehabilitation. In his free time, Chris enjoys running, playing with his dog, and trying new restaurants in the area with his wife.

Morgan Altin, D.P.T.

Staff Physical Therapist

Dr. Altin earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Florida A&M University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Marymount University. As a former collegiate volleyball player, she has a deep passion for helping athletes—and weekend warriors—return to the sports they love. Dr. Altin is dedicated to empowering her patients, equipping them with the tools they need to take control of their health and enhance their quality of life.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Altin enjoys staying active, whether it’s exploring the outdoors or traveling with her husband and three boys.

Heather Woodcock, D.P.T.

Staff Physical Therapist

Dr. Heather has been practicing physical therapy in the outpatient setting since 2018. She is skilled in the treatment of orthopedic injuries, post-surgical care, balance and gait deficits, and strength/reconditioning. Dr. Heather acts as a caring, compassionate leader to guide her patient’s to a life with less pain and dysfunction.

Dr. Heather has always enjoyed an active lifestyle, playing sports, running, and exploring the outdoors. Her goal as a physical therapist is to empower her patient’s to better understand their bodies, teach them how to incorporate movement and exercise into their daily lives, and help them return to the activities in life that bring them joy. Dr. Heather’s approach takes into consideration each person’s individual needs and goals to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that fits their lifestyle.

 

Mollye Lipton, D.P.T.

Staff Physical Therapist

Dr. Mollye earned both her undergraduate and doctor of physical therapy degrees from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, completing her studies in 2016. She has always had a passion for sports, having grown up playing tennis, basketball, and soccer, and she even continued to play tennis at the club level while attending university.

Dr. Mollye has completed additional coursework studying neurological rehabilitation and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) from the Institute of Physical Art, and orthopedic spinal and peripheral conditions through the Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy Seminars. She is also trained in the Graston Technique, and is certified in Trigger Point Dry Needling through Myopain Seminars.

Outside of work, Dr. Mollye still enjoys playing tennis, cycling, reading and going hiking with her dog.

Erika Opoku, D.P.T.

Staff Physical Therapist

Dr. Erika is a passionate and dynamic Physical Therapist with over five years of experience helping individuals reclaim their strength, confidence, and mobility.

She specializes in orthopedic care for adults and youth, using a blend of functional movement, manual therapy, and collaborative education.

Dr. Erika holds certification in Myofascial Manual Trigger Point Therapy (dry needling) and has completed coursework in Pelvic Health Therapy. She approaches her care through a holistic, trauma-informed lens, prioritizing the powerful connection between mind and body to support healing and resilience.

Beyond the clinic, Dr. Erika is committed to health equity. She advocates for improved access to rehabilitative care in underrepresented communities and actively mentors aspiring healthcare professionals to diversify and strengthen the future of the field

Nelson Emokpae, D.P.T.

Staff Physical Therapist

Dr. Nelson received a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2006. As a physical therapist, Dr. Nelson’s goal is not only to educate and treat his patients, but to empower them to becoming their own best therapist. His idea of excellent care contains ingredients of compassion, dedication, humor and evidence based approach. In addition to being a physical therapist, Dr. Nelson is the lead singer of Nelly’s Echo. Nelly’s Echo has self-released three successful albums, performed as a member of team Christina on season 3 of NBC’s THE VOICE, performed at over 150 colleges in the past year, and entertained the troops in Cuba.
